Accounts

An account in MonVa is any place your money lives — cash in your pocket, a bank card, a savings pot, a travel fund. You can keep as many as you like, and each transaction belongs to one account.

Multiple accounts in different currencies

The core idea

  • Unlimited accounts. Add as many as you need and give each a name, an icon and a type: cash, bank, or other.
  • Each account has its own currency. Your cash might be in UAH, your Revolut in EUR, a card in USD — all at once. See Currency conversion for how amounts combine.
  • Every transaction lives in an account. Its balance is the starting balance plus everything you’ve added or spent since.
  • Transfers move money between accounts (e.g. cash → bank) without counting as income or expense.

Why it matters

Because each account carries its own currency, MonVa can show you a single, honest picture across all of them — converting foreign balances into your reporting currency — while every account still shows its real, native amount.

You manage accounts under the Accounts screen (from the manage hub): add, rename, recolor, set the type and currency, or archive ones you no longer use.

💡
Pick a sensible reporting currency in Settings — that’s the single currency MonVa uses for your overall totals and statistics. Individual accounts keep their own currency regardless.
The free plan includes 1 account; Premium unlocks unlimited accounts (and spending across currencies). See Plans.
